All About The FIBER

Projects completed recently.

This first is the Molly Scarf.

It is the first time I've completed "short rows" on a project.  I had so much fun knitting with the ladies at Smith's Yarn Shop in Oberlin.

Since making this beautiful rose grey one, I've also made one using SSF Peruvian Pablo's 2010 yarn as well as a lovely light fawn neck warmer using the same pattern.

These cool or should I say warm hats were hand knit this fall.  I've enjoyed learning how to do earflaps.  In fact, I've made multiples of the earflap hats in brown and black.

The Oberlin College students love these earflap hats!

These are the shortie socks made by the North American Alpaca Fiber Producers Co-op (http://www.alpacathewayitshouldbe.us/).  These socks are made for everyday use.  They will keep you warmer than cotton socks in the winter and wick moisture away from your feet in the summer.  Truely an all-season sock.

These socks are Made in the USA using alpaca fiber grown in the USA!  This is a key to moving the alpaca fiber industry forward.

These are the much anticipated boot socks, which are again Made in the USA with alpaca fiber grown in the USA.

These socks are meant to keep you toasty warm while you are doing your outdoor chores.

Last, but certainly not least, are these gorgeous woven rugs made from our own alpacas fiber that is custom woven in Paint Rock, Texas.

These rugs are not only stylish, but HEAVY DUTY.

Sizes are 2' x 3' and come in many different styles.

All fiber items are made to be sold.  So, if you would like more information on any of the above, please feel free to contact me at Marceels@aol.com.
